Tax problems can be costly and confusing. Taxpayers Help Center, Inc. helps low-income San Fernando Valley and beyond residents who have tax problems and can’t afford to hire a professional.

The mission of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) is to provide free representation to low-income taxpayers facing federal civil income or employment tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Please don’t hesitate to contact our office if you are facing a disagreement with the IRS and need help.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic is a cost-free income tax assistance service for low-income residents in the San Fernando Valley and beyond. Our goal is to provide outstanding free tax preparation services to low-income taxpayers in our community.

Client eligibility for both clinics depends on the individual’s financial situation, the tax controversies elements, and the clinics’ workload. Upon recommendation by the Director, clinic officials decide whether the clinic will represent individuals. The clinic generally handles only civil federal income or employment tax matters, and potential clients must provide information about their financial status.
